Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a very experienced project manager to join a well-established Singapore-based construction company specialising in large-scale building and infrastructure projects, with a strong industry track record and a growing project portfolio.

 

Role:

  • Lead and direct the full lifecycle of large-scale building, civil, and infrastructure construction projects (project value S$100 million and above), from pre-construction planning through to completion, handover, and defects liability.
  • Take full accountability for project delivery — cost, schedule, quality, safety, and contractual compliance.
  • Lead site management teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure work meets design specifications, quality benchmarks, and safety standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, architects, consultants, and regulatory authorities (BCA, URA, SCDF, PUB, LTA, NEA, MOM).
  • Drive strong Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) compliance and cultivate a proactive safety culture across all project sites.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; resolve critical issues and escalate as needed to senior/executive management.
  • Oversee contract administration, variation orders, claims management, and dispute resolution.
  • Present project status reports, cost forecasts, and progress updates to senior leadership, clients, and stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 18 to 20 years of relevant construction experience, including at least 5 years in a senior project management or project director capacity.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale building, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects in Singapore.
  • Strong working knowledge of BCA regulations, Singapore building codes, and local construction standards and approval processes.
  • Professional certification such as PMP, Professional Engineer (PE), or registration with PEB/BOA is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient with project management and scheduling tools: MS Project, Primavera P6, and BIM software.
