Role:

• Conduct tool mold design review, mold trial review, project review meetings.
• Liaise with designers, manufacturing engineers, planners on the progress of tool fabrication to achieve 100% on-time delivery
• Provide timely updates and Gantt charts to team when required
• Mold testing and perform molding process optimization to achieve part consistency quality.
• Study FA report for dimensional rectification according product form fit functions as required by the customer.
• Lead team in problem solving; identification of problems and analysis of the root cause.
• Liaise with suppliers for mold outsourcing on all tooling related issues.
• Provide team with technical support and customers with tooling feasibilities. Prepare quotation for engineering change requests.
• Follow up on tool approval with customer & ensure all tool POs are closed timing & properly.
• Build good relationship with customer engineering, quality & procurement team.

Requirements

• Diploma/NITEC in Precision Machining, Tooling Technology ideally with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in plastic injection and medical tools
• Experience in project management and tooling technical incline.
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal relation skills.
• Able to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
• Team player with ability to work under minimum supervision.

• Develop and implement strategies to automate various manufacturing processes and operations
• Lead a team of automation engineers and technicians to design, configure, and maintain automated systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of automated equipment and systems
• Analyse data and metrics to continually optimize the performance of automated processes
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards
• Perform internal quality system audit
• Provide training and support to production staff on the use of automated systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in an automation, medical or manufacturing engineering role
• Proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing automated systems
• Strong technical expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial robotics
• Knowledge in ISO9001, ISO13485, TS16949, familiar with FMEA, PPAP, APQP and IOPQ
• Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of automation professionals
• Familiar with industry standards and regulations related to industrial automation
