Exciting career opportunity for a proven leader in quality function of large electromechanical equipment industry to join an established organization to set strategic vision for organizational quality and directly oversee corporate responsibilities that monitor and improve customer experience measurements, reduce total cost of quality, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve the effectiveness of the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS).
This is a critical role leading the development, coordination, and direction of enterprise-wide quality assurance programs that ensure continuous improvement and adherence to established standards in a complex product mix environment. You will take overall responsibility for setting quality objectives and standards, alignments and coordinating quality related aspects from Product developments, NPIs, NPOs, Supplier quality engineering, Manufacturing, Field services engineering and Spares support.
Role:
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional leaders; China Business Group, Products Group, Operations, Field Service Engineering, Finance, HR, and Engineering, to impact customer experience, quality, speed, ease, and shareholder value by promoting growth, productivity, and supporting objectives
- Work with respective teams to develop and execute a multi-year quality improvement plan that takes the organization from Quality Control to Quality Assurance to Process Excellence.
- Develop and strengthen the company’s Quality Organization, System and Structure. Manage general business requirements, manage employees, create and monitor budgets.
- Make quality department development plan to meet company objectives, strategies and targets, including organization, KPI setting, team member capability development, training plan, etc.
- Set up and keep optimizing the Quality systems (ISO 9001 / 45001 / 18001), drive all company departments to continuous improvements on all quality aspect.
- Ensure ongoing success of process improvement initiatives by developing policies, procedures and process documentation related to quality, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction directives.
- Establish product quality goals, metrics, and test methods during product design and development, presents quality metrics and analysis regularly to Senior Management team and external customers as needed.
- Establish an effective audit process to be used to ensure that consistent, best-in-class results are followed to enable operational excellence.
- Oversees development and deployment of standard quality tools, methodologies, standards, practices and improvement processes through the Manufacturing System.
- Develop and implement a process that reviews supplier performance data to determine highest impact suppliers to the company and identify systematic problems.
- Develops training programs, standards, tools, and methods to foster a culture of quality within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent with at least 15 years and more of experience in a quality function in a manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership experience in a quality, Lean management, process excellence, or continuous Improvement programs
- Prior experience in semiconductor capital equipment design and manufacturing or capital equipment where components, sub-systems are assembled into a final product.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior management, teams and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines and geographies.
- Sound business acumen operating in both High Mix, Low Volume and High Volume, Low Mix Production environments.
- Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze, think and communicate with well-supported data.
- Effective communications, frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, organization skills and time management skills.
